At Jensen Steel Fabricators, health, safety and wellbeing, has always been paramount to our company. We follow health and safety requirements; not only because they are legislated, but also because we believe in the importance of providing a healthy and safe workplace for all those that work with us, and the right for our team to get home safely every day.
With the health and safety legislations, we don’t just work to meet the requirements, but rather, put in policies, procedures and practices to exceed them. When we are involved in a project, health, safety and wellbeing are a constant, throughout the project.
We are committed to health, safety and wellbeing of our staff, contractors and the public.
Our commitment begins at the top of the organisation, with Directors Greg and Robyn Jensen and is present all the way through the company. Our dedicated health and safety team continually look at risks and hazards within our work environment and proactively work with staff, contractors and other parties to best minimise these risks.
We don’t like to sit still, so we continuously look at ways to develop and improve, not only our safety practices but also those that relate to health and wellbeing. We believe, you need to focus on all three elements to have a work environment where people can return home, safe and well.
Our commitment includes:
Ongoing commitment to training and development of our people on safe use of plant and correct operating procedures and processes.
Robust system to identify, manage and regularly review critical risks.
Early reporting and management of workplace health, safety and wellbeing issues.
Work collaboratively with our team to ensure their health, safety and wellbeing concerns and ideas for improvement, are listened to and addressed appropriately.
