It's quite tough out there at the moment for many people and businesses. However, we're fortunate that in Tauranga we're still seeing a number of commercial construction projects push ahead. Not only is this great for all those companies and workers involved, but also the community as a whole, benefiting from the facilities such developments provide.
We've always felt proud of playing a part in the shape and growth of the community we live and work in. The construction projects we work on include key services the community relies on, like airports, apartments, banks, hospitals, ports, sports stadiums, supermarkets, schools and universities to name a few.
Ben Jensen, Finance Manager of Jensen Steel Fabricators explains "We began in 1987, so as you can imagine we have worked through and survived a number of different economic climates. We're always grateful to those companies who put trust in us to work on their projects and make their designs and vision, a reality. The team are currently being kept busy with a number of large-scale projects across Tauranga that will benefit not only those of us who live locally, but also the rest of New Zealand”
Some of the projects our team are currently working on or just completed include;
· No.2 Devonport Road
· Tauranga City Council Building at 90 Devonport Road
· Tauranga Blood Donor Centre at 93 Cameron Road.
· Harvey Norman Retail at Tauriko
· Omokoroa Shopping Centre
· Kiwifruit Facilities for MPAC, DMS and Seeka
· Power Farming at Te Maunga, Papamoa
· Metlife Care at Papamoa
· Lineage Coldstore at Tauriko
· Winstone 'Gib Factory' Project at Tauriko
It's great to see that Tauranga City Council have several exciting projects and plans happening across the city, to help with transforming Tauranga to a place we can all be proud of. A lot of their focus is on revitalising the central city business district and on community facilities such as playground and sports fields. We look forward to the updates in this space!
